About Me

Hi, I’m Sarah!

I’m a Professional Counselor Associate and a Certified Parent-Child CARE (PC-CARE) Provider, supervised by Jamie Watson, LMFT. I offer in-person therapy for parents and children in Tigard, Oregon (Washington County), as well as telehealth sessions across Oregon.

For more than 10 years, I’ve worked with kids and families in schools, group practice, and now at Oak Hills Counseling Center. I specialize in supporting parents and children ages 2–12 through challenges with behavior, big emotions, and family transitions—helping families build stronger relationships and happier homes.

Parenting is one of the hardest—and most important—jobs out there. Yet most of us step into it with little training or guidance. Through my background in education and counseling, and my focus on child behavior, I’ve learned evidence-based strategies that really work. They’ve been invaluable both in my counseling work and in raising my own three children.

That’s why I offer counseling and parent coaching in Tigard, Oregon—to give families practical support, encouragement, and hope. I involve parents closely in the process, because when caregivers feel equipped and supported, children thrive. Even small shifts at home can create powerful ripple effects, leading to more calm, more confidence, and more joy.

I believe every family is capable of growth and positive change. Whether you’re seeking a little extra support or more ongoing guidance, I’m here to help you and your child move forward together.

Therapy Services

I offer a variety of services to support children and families. During our first session, we’ll talk about your specific goals so I can better understand what might help most. I might the recommend individual therapy, parent-child therapy (Parent-Child CARE), a group, or a mix of these options. We’ll create a personalized plan together that feels right for you!

Individual Therapy
In individual therapy, I work one-on-one with parents or kids to help you understand your feelings, learn new skills, and build a positive mindset. Whether you're a parent needing some personal support or a child working through tough emotions, these sessions are a space to talk, learn, and grow.
Parent-Child Therapy

In Parent-Child CARE both parent and child work together to learn new skills to strengthen your relationship. This is an interactive approach where you’ll learn and practice new strategies, and receive coaching on how to use them during sessions. You’ll gain a better understanding of how to apply these tools to create lasting change.

Group Therapy

I offer group therapy for both parents and kids.
Parent-only groups focus on building social-emotional skills, sharing experiences, and learning strategies to support your family’s well-being.

Kid-only groups provide a safe and fun space for children to develop their social skills, emotional awareness, and confidence alongside peers.

These groups are especially helpful for those who feel isolated or like they’re the only ones facing these challenges (which is so not true!). Being part of a supportive community can make a huge difference.

Parent Support Program
Parent Support Programs are like a crash course for parents who want to learn a lot in a short time. Instead of meeting for weeks, you get focused support in a few extended sessions. These sessions give you the information and tools you need right away.

During these weeks, you’ll get extra support with frequent check-ins and homework. It’s designed to fit your schedule and help you make quick, meaningful changes.
